PLEASE keep in mind that you will be visiting our Home on the ocean, which we are happily choosing to share with you.

We want you to have an truly enjoyable visit while remembering to respect our property. So PLEASE follow all house rules or you may be asked to leave.

Guests making a reservation with Carolyn's Cove agree to the following;

Quiet time 10pm to 8am
We expected our guests to behave in a civilized manner and to be good neighbors with other guests.
If your actions disrupt the enjoyment of any of our other guest, you could be financially responsible for the cost of their nights stay. As well you could be asked to leave the property with no refund.

Check in is between 4-8pm, with absolutely no check-ins after 8pm

Check out: leave bedding on the bed, shut off all appliances and lights, leave wet towels in the shower. clean up any messes. We don't charge a cleaning fee unless there is excess cleaning, then we charge $50/hour plus GST.

Registered Guests
Only REGISTERED guests are permitted to be on the Property and to use amenities owned and provided by Carolyn’s Cove. We will require ID from registering guest upon arrival. Unregistered guests found on the property will be asked to leave immediately, and further, registered guests found to be in contravention of this agreement may be asked to leave immediately with no refund of the reservation.

Damage Policy
The person making and paying for the rental of the accommodation is financially responsible for the cost of repairs arising from any damage beyond normal wear and tear including but not limited to carpet/floor stains, interior wall damage, appliance repairs arising from improper use, window and window covering damage, permanent linen stains, dry cleaning costs associated with stains, breakage, theft and any other damage noted on departure incurred, sustained or brought by any person occupying or using the accommodation. Any theft, lost items, excessive wear and tear, or damage will be charged to the reservation holder. As the reservation holder you are agreeing to be the person financially responsible for the rental, and any costs incurred by you or your guests and give Carolyn's Cove full authority to charge the Credit Card number given at time of booking. Carolyn's Cove has the right to charge your credit card in advance of repairs being completed and will refund the difference once any of the listed reasons above as been completed. Please remove outdoor footwear at the entrance of the accommodation.

There is no food preparation or cooking allowed in our rooms, only our cabins. Anyone found to be preparing food in our rooms may be charged for excess cleaning and or damages to property and/or plumbing and septic system.

We do not allow the use of open flame appliances on our property. This includes the use of candles inside or outside the accommodation.

Keys
You are required to return all sets of keys by leaving them with owners or in the room upon checkout. There will be a $25 charge to replace any lost keys. You agree to have this charged to the credit card on file at the time the reservation is made.

Septic System
ONLY human waste and the toilet paper provided are to be flushed. No food scrapes or other items are to be washed down the sinks. Drain stoppers in the showers and tubs are to be used at all times to protect hair and other foreign objects from entering the system. In the sinks and showers there is NO washing of clothing, surf gear or items of any sort. Please do not use large wads of toilet paper. Violators of these house rules may be subject to charges to have the tank emptied.

GARBAGE/RECYCLING: guests on the property are required to separate garbage from recycling and compost material. Information is provided in the accommodation.

Smoking & Vaping
For your health and enjoyment, all accommodations are non-smoking. A $500 Smoking Fine will be charged if you smoke inside or directly outside the accommodation. You may smoke in the designated smoking area near the parking lot but are responsible for disposing of your cigarette/vaping butts in the appropriate container. We DO NOT allow for the use of cannabis on our property. IF we find that you or any member of you group has been smoking cannabis or anything outside the designated smoking area or refuse to dispose of butts appropriately you will be asked to leave the premises immediately with no refund. We ask that you leave all cannabis and related items in your vehicle.

Hot tub(s)
Accepting this reservation means that the use of the hot tub provided on the property is at your own risk. The hot tub is checked before and after your use to inspect the condition of the tub and the water. Absolutely NO food or drink is allowed in or around the hot tub. Our hot tubs are located within viewing of other guest, so there is absolutely NO being naked, topless or sex is to take place in the hot tubs or public areas. Exposing yourself in public is a criminal offense, so you will be asked to leave with no refund. Please be sure to shower before using the hot tub to remove lotions, body oils, perspiration etc. We require a seperate swim suit for use in the hot tub which must be clean and are not to be used for anything else (tanning, on the beach or in any other bodies of water). If we find sand in the hot tub after your use, we charge to remove it as it damages the pumps. If the hot tub is required to be drained after your use, or extra cleaning is required, or for any reason whereby Carolyn's Cove feels the cleanliness of the hot tub is not up to standard for its next guest, you will be charged for the nightly reservation for any guests that can't use it or to cover cleaning expenses at our hourly cleaning rate. Further you are financially responsible for any damage to the hot tub including repair and/or damaged or missing parts due to misuse. Only registered guests over the age of 13 years are permitted to use the hot tub(s). Use of the shared hot-tub is by appointment only. Only used large patterned towels with the hot-tub. The chlorine will ruin our bath linens.

Conserve Electricity
Please turn off all appliances and lights when leaving the room/cabin. Any ceiling fans should be left on the circulate the air.

Drinking Water
We provide a drinking water from a dispenser for all our accommodations. Our tap water is NON-Potable.

Showers
We have a low-flow well on our property, so we ask guests to save LONG showers for home. GLASS shower doors DO NOT hold body weight, so we reccommend that you don't lean on them. Please DO NOT hang any items on the shower doors, and use hooks in the showers for wet items. Or better yet, hang wet items outside to reduce moisture in the accommodation.

Laundry
We DO NOT have laundry facilities on-site, however there are two laundromats in Ucluelet. DO NOT wash any personal items in the sink or shower as you can damage our septic system by using soaps and chemicals that are not suited to our system.

Surf/Water Sports Gear
Clean all surf/water sports gear at outside cleaning stations. ALL WET items are to be hung OUTDOORS as they cause excess moisture in the accommodations.

Fire-Pit
Propane fire-pit use Is by request and is limited between the hours of 5pm and 10pm. Please clean up personal items after use. NO COOKING over the fire pit is allowed. The backyard fire-pit is for use by all guest. However, the Tiny Home and Cozy Cove Trailer guests can rent a small propane fire-pit daily as part of an add-on to the reservation.

Footwear
Please remove your outside footwear at the door of all accommodations.

Lost or Missing Items
Carolyn's Cove is not responsible for any personal items left behind on departure and will hold items for 2 weeks after departure. Items left behind will upon request be returned by mail COD or by other means as requested for the cost associated with returning the item, as well as a $10 handling fee.

Treehouse Cabin

Request for extra bed for double occupancy booking. A double occupancy booking in the Treehouse cabin is for the King bed only. We are happy to make up an extra bed, however the extra guest fee/night plus tax will be charged. Guests using the futons as bed without property bedding could be charged for substantial damages to the mattresses if stained.
